Color Guard Rifles are not used in anyway to shoot people, not even objects. While they may seem intimidating to a third person's point of view, color guard rifles are magnificent to be used during performances.



While military color guards use their rifles exhibiting the strictest sense of discipline, color guard rifles when used in color guards in marching band teams demonstrate more dance, grace and style.

Rifle spins take a lot of practice. It requires the right split-second precision and good timing. Without these two the results of rifle spinning can be disastrous. AS it may result to hitting your hands, or feet. The proper execution is important as this can ensure safety and success of the technique. Althought it may seem very complicated, nothing can not be mastered through practice, practice and more practice.

Once the color guard has mastered the technique, of spinning the rifle it can add more levels of complexity to an otherwise doldrum routine.

There are several ways to spin a rifle. All of which can be mastered through the technique. The most basic are the right hand rifle spin and the left hand rifle spin. There are also drop spins, or consecutive spins. People consider consecutive spins as the technique that must be mastered first.
