Color Guard Uniforms

Along with the flags, the equipments, long hours of color guard practice, and mastery of skill, the color guard performance would be incomplete without good uniforms. While style and comfortability are important, choosing your color guard uniforms one must not forget the function and use of the colors and lines in their uniforms.

The color of their uniforms are first considered. What are the colors of the school? Usually the colors of the color guard uniform carry the same colors as the school's varsity teams. This is because the color guards, together with the school's marching bands sometime perform during half-time in the school's sports events.

While the idea of being a guard suggest masculinity, color guards can be male or female. Females have the option of having skirts for uniforms, or a pair of pants. The choice is for the color guard's taking. The team can choose whether the girls in their team are to wear skirts, in order to add more grace while they turn, or they can go and wear pants for uniformity. Again, there is no hard and fast rule in choosing color guard uniforms.

Lastly is that color guard uniforms must be present a sense of organization. They are supposed to look like they are in a team.
